Screengrabs, renders and snippets from Head Sculpting Class demos that I've run at various CG Training schools. Most are fairly rough, and that's the whole point. We don't focus overly much on final polish, but rather the Artistic building blocks that makeup a portrait, and setup a compelling likeness.
My course covers all of the fundamentals ranging from: Constructive Anatomy, form, proportion, value hierarchy (light/shadow/contrast), rhythm, proportion, silhouette, sketching for design, working from concept and photography - it's a long list of skills that I like to have students develop!
All demos done in Zbrush and Photoshop.
